What is CWP?
The Community Watershed Partnership (CWP) is a group of citizens who love Lake Tahoe. Our members include everyone who shares the amazing resource of the Lake Tahoe Basin: residents, visitors, landowners, renters, organizations, and businesses. We recognize how privileged we are to live, play, and work in this environment and we are dedicated to protecting and enhancing our community.
CWP provides a forum for community members to share what matters to them with the agencies and land managers responsible for the open space around us. As a community we can work together to find solutions to protect our environment and enhance the quality of life in our neighborhoods.
Share Your Perspective
One goal of CWP is to draw on the knowledge bank of community residents to identify problems and find solutions to protect out shared resources. What is the concern in your neighborhood? Is it the muddy storm water running down your street and possibly discharging into a creek? Maybe it is the patch of weeds in the forest near your favorite trail that seems to get bigger every year. Maybe it is the water in your crawlspace or maintaining access to your favorite beach. Share your concerns and then get involved to help find a solution! CWP needs your voice and your energy.
Love YOUR Lake!
Get involved and join the partnership in your watershed! You can participate by sharing your concerns via our surveys or at community forums, volunteering on community improvement projects, providing agencies with feedback about upcoming projects, and by participating in your Community Partnership Committee to come up with solutions to protect our shared resources.
